This piece is a portrait of my oldest son. The top acrylic sheet has his portrait screen-printed onto it. The middle acrylic sheet is painted with his portrait. And the notebook paper underneath is filled with words that he chose & wrote to describe himself. This Piece is meant to visually represent the many sides or layers within each of us; while also demonstrating that not all sides can easily be seen at the same time. Again, light is a key component of this piece, as it can drastically change the shadows and colors seen by the viewer.
