This piece is a portrait of my oldest daughter. The top acrylic sheet has her portrait screen-printed onto it. The middle acrylic sheet is painted with her portrait. And the notebook paper underneath is filled with words that she chose & wrote to describe herself. This Piece is meant to visually represent the many sides or layers within each of us; while also demonstrating that not all sides can easily be seen at the same time. Again, light is a key component of this piece, as it can drastically change the shadows and colors seen by the viewer.
